My moral compass is determined by my surroundings, my family, my friends, my intuitions - I find pieces of inspiration in books, music, movies, places, people, conversations… but I could never manage to put stock into one singular book, one person, one being, who never knew me and never lived in my world. I am not an atheist. I believe in finding strength in a number of places. Mostly I believe in finding it within myself. But I believe we cannot know what the truth is when it comes to faith. It works differently for everyone. A blanket solution, a blanket faith, for the millions of individual problems that people have. I don’t buy that.
24. brooklyn vs the open road vs a childhood home. an amalgamation of words, pictures, thoughts, ideas, music, stories and insomnia that may or may not be my own. i am a freelance photojournalist (and production assistant) and mostly shoot things of the musical persuasion. a home? i'd like to be somewhere different every day of the week. the lines between nerd & cool are forever being blurred in my life. it's a weird place to be in. hard work doesn't scare me, hate does. keep that PMA forever and always.
